The CHES 5K and Fun Run is our major annual fundraiser! It is a fun, local, community-building, and family-friendly event. There is high participation, not just from the CHES community, but also from our neighboring communities. Last year’s CHES 5K was a huge success, raising almost $8,000, thanks to the generous sponsorship of several companies and the participation of all the individuals who signed up to run.

Funds raised from the CHES 5K and Fun Run will support programs that are vital to the functioning of the school—including school-wide community-building events, student scholarships for enrichment activities and field trips, teacher classroom funds and appreciation events, and transportation and childcare for after-school events.

All donations are eligible for a tax deduction (use the CHES PTA EIN number: 16-6058355.

We will be asking for community support to make the race a success and are seeking sponsorships from our valued businesses. and appreciate any donation you are able to provide. Your contribution fuels essential PTA programs, fostering a direct and positive association between your business and educational enrichment, community events, classroom resources, and after-school support. 

With any contribution, we will promote your business to our 250+ Cayuga Heights Elementary students from the West Hill and Cayuga Heights neighborhoods, as well as their families, teachers, school staff, and neighboring residents who participate in the race. Our CHES community is vibrant, diverse, and always eager to support businesses that make a positive impact.

If you are unable to provide sponsorship but are interested in helping, we would appreciate donations of food and supplies on race day, as well as medals and prizes or gift certificates for winners.
