  1. How do I join? Sign-up online using the CHES PTA Membership form. CHES PTA memberships are free for 2025-2026, and you can join anytime during the year.

  2. How can I help? How would you like to help? You can contribute your time and talents to our school community in so many ways! Learn more on our Volunteer page, attend an upcoming PTA meeting, or email Board@chespta.net with your ideas. Thanks in advance!

  3. When are PTA meetings? The CHES PTA meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Meeting times and locations may vary but are often the CHES cafeteria, LACS Library, or virtual. Upcoming meetings are posted on our Calendar, sent via the listserv, and/or via paper flyers in your childs backpack. Agendas are sent to the PTA listserv in advance, and you can review previous agendas and minutes on our website. Meeting minutes are posted to the website as well.

  4. How do I join the PTA listserv? To subscribe to our listserv, please sign-up for a free PTA membership. You’ll be added to our google group listserv once your membership has been recorded and can start sending/receiving emails. There are no specific requirements for PTA members and joining our listserv is the best way to stay connected to the CHES school community.

  5. Who can post and what can be posted on the PTA listserv? The CHES PTA listserv is designed to facilitate communication across the large Cayuga Heights Elementary School community. All members can post announcements and start threads of conversation that align with community guidelines. All messages should be relevant to the CHES school community as they will be seen by hundreds of CHES parents, teachers, staff, and caregivers. Posts can be moderated by the PTA Board at any time.

  6. How can I donate? Thank you for asking! CHES PTA programs are funded entirely by donations and fundraising programs. We welcome and appreciate every donation, large and small. You can donate to our Annual Fund online anytime of year or contact our PTA Treasurer directly to discuss a donation. If you’d like to give us a check, simply write it payable to “CHES PTA,” place it an envelope, and bring it to the main office. You could also have your child deliver the envelope to their teacher, who will make sure it gets to the main office.

  7. How do I submit a receipt for reimbursement? Please use our Google Form found under the “Resources” section of our website to request a reimbursement. A photo of your receipt must be uploaded. PTA Treasurer will review and communicate information as needed. Not all expenses are eligible for reimbursement, so please email treasurer@chespta.net ahead of purchases (especially large ones) in advance.

  8. Where are the PTA mailboxes? There are two PTA mailboxes located in the CHES Main Office, one for “PTA” and one for “PTA Treasurer.”
